The app works on your phone

WiFi Hunt Pro is an Android tool for viewing nearby Wi-Fi access points and following a selected access point’s signal strength. The app has no account, ads, analytics, tracking SDKs or cloud upload. The app itself does not collect or share data off your device and has no Internet permission.

Wi-Fi data and Android permissions

With your permission, the app reads Wi-Fi scan results supplied by Android: network name (SSID), access point address (BSSID/MAC), signal strength, frequency/channel, security capabilities and measurement time. These results are processed locally to display the scanner and Hunt Mode.

Android requires precise location permission and enabled location services for these Wi-Fi scan results. Wi-Fi identifiers can reveal information about nearby locations. The app does not request GPS coordinates, build a location profile, track your physical location or transmit Wi-Fi results. Permission can be denied or revoked in the phone settings, although Wi-Fi discovery will then be unavailable. The app requests no background location permission and stops scanning when it is not in the foreground.

Sound and vibration are optional. Vibration permission is used for Hunt Mode pulses and the vibration test. Changing Wi-Fi scan throttling in Developer options is also optional and is done by you in Android settings, not by the app.

What is stored locally

Saved access points, SSIDs/BSSIDs, manufacturer labels, custom names, notes, first/last detection dates, the selected target and your language/feedback/smoothing preferences are stored in the app’s private storage on your phone. Signal samples used in the five-minute chart are held in memory. The manufacturer registry is bundled with the app; no online manufacturer lookup is made.

Delete saved access points using Saved in the app. Clear the app’s storage or uninstall it to remove its saved local data. Android backup and device-transfer backup of the app’s data are disabled.

Google Play purchases

Payment for the app is handled by Google Play. The app does not receive or store payment-card details. Google’s processing of purchases and use of Google Play is governed by Google’s own policies. WiFi Hunt Pro has no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Support email

If you email wifihuntpro@wellsoft.dk, Wellsoft ApS receives your email address and the information you choose to include. This is used to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Avoid sending sensitive information. You can contact the same address to request removal of your support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention requirements.

This website and external links

The website uses no analytics, advertising scripts, tracking cookies or third-party fonts. The web host may process ordinary connection/server logs such as IP address, request time and requested URL to operate and secure the site. Opening this website, Google Play or an email app from WiFi Hunt Pro takes you to an external service; that service’s own data handling applies.

Children and updates

WiFi Hunt Pro is designed as a technical tool for adults and is not directed at children. Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated date.
